Wax Museum & Literacy Night
Parent Engagement Event
Date: Thursday, September 25th, 2025
Time: 5:00 – 6:00 PM
Location: Foxfire Schools
What’s Happening?
Our students have been hard at work preparing their Wax Museum projects! Each
child has researched a famous figure from history, literature, science, or culture.
They’ve written speeches, created costumes, and built displays to bring these people to
life.
These projects are about more than just “dressing up”—they teach students:
• Research skills – gathering accurate facts about their chosen person.
• Public speaking & confidence – presenting in front of an audience.
• Creativity – designing props, costumes, and displays.
• Connection to history & culture – understanding the impact these figures made on
the world.
Literacy Night
Alongside the Wax Museum, we’re excited to host a Literacy Night!
Representatives from the John McIntire Library will be at Foxfire to:
• Share literacy tools and resources to support student learning.
• Provide information on library programs and activities.
• Help families sign up for a library card—a great step toward building lifelong
reading habits!
All parents who attend will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 Walmart gift card.
We can’t wait to see you there and celebrate the creativity, learning, and hard work of
our students—while also strengthening the love of reading in our community.
