The Teachers Resource Website includes a collection of organized links to sites that display research-based strategies for content area reading. It also provides descriptions of the websites and links to additional information, lesson plans and classroom examples.
The site is divided into the four major content areas (Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science). Each area contains a compilation of links to websites that are relevant to its content. For example, the Language Arts page contains only information applicable to that specific content area. The content areas are then followed by pages that present resources for vocabulary, differentiation, literacy strategies, graphic organizers, and literacy links.
The website is designed for all teachers to be able to locate a strategy, graphic organizer or lesson plan quickly and easily from their own classrooms. Teachers now have the opportunity, via the website, to draw from or add to one central location for content literacy support and information.
