Summer Work Program

SUMMER WORK PROGRAM

For the past 3 summers, Foxfire Schools has teamed with Ohio Means Jobs to provide paid work experience for our students. The program is designed to encourage youth to gain knowledge in the work force as they provide services throughout the community.  The program provides the youth with a variety of opportunities to help improve work ethic, accountability, time management, and soft skills.  Youth are given responsibilities based on their current and developing abilities.  They learn to carry out directions independently and accept constructive criticism from their direct supervisor.  These attributes along with attendance, work quality, and communication skills are monitored and evaluated daily by their direct supervisor.  The goal of the program is to encourage youth to be the best employee possible in order to be successful in obtaining future long term employment.  Lunch is available daily as well as limited transportation to and from work.

If you have questions about this program please contact Foxfire Schools at 740-453-4509 or email Mr. Curtis at scurtis@laca.og.
